What does Hillingdon Play Association do?Hillingdon Play Association is an organisation which advocates and supports, promotes, and coordinates the provision of quality play for Children and young people in Hillingdon.
History:Formed in October 2002, the Hillingdon Play Network was formally constituted as Hillingdon Play Association in September 2005 it delivered the Inclusive Play Project. In 2008 Hillingdon Play Association became a company Limited by guarantee and has been commissioned to deliver the BIG Lottery Play projects across the Borough. The Team:
I have been working with children and young people for 7 years in various setting such as after school clubs, schools, playschemes and children’s centres. I love working for Hillingdon Play Association as everyday is different and you never know what to expect. I currently have a Diploma in Childcare and Education Level 3 and am extending my learning further by studying for the Foundation Degree in Extended Community Playwork Practise Zoe Chapman I love working for Hillingdon Play Association, being able to provide such fantastic play opportunities over the whole borough is so rewarding. I have been working for HPA since February 2009 and now currently studying for a Level 3 in Playwork. Sue Collinson I have been a playworker for over 8 years with my previous job being at a day nursery and after school club. I started working for HPA in September 08 and i am really enjoying working here as everyday is different and I enjoy meeting all the new people. I am currently studying for a Diploma in Playwork Level 3. Julie Gurbuz I have worked in Playwork for the past 10 years. Before becoming a playworker I worked in a private day nursery and was manager at their after school club. I have a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies and a Diploma in Playwork and I’m currently doing the Foundation Degree in Community Playwork Practise and Extended Provision. I enjoy working for the HPA as it is not your average Playworker job- each day is different. Sarah Naismith I have been working in Play and childcare for 10 years, throughout those years I have completed Level 3 in Early Years and Level 3 in Playwork. I am now currently studying Foundation Degree in Community Playwork and Extended Practise Provision. I previously managed After school clubs and holiday clubs and I now have the unique opportunity of working with the HPA team. Ben Rudman I have been working in Play for 20 years in various settings. I still enjoy the challenge of facilitating children’s play. I am very proud of the work that the HPA have done and are continuing to do. I will be starting my Ba (Hons) in Playwork soon. |
